Hello, I read the info. on how to Drain The Filter Caps before working on a Marshall Plexi for safety, does this method apply to a Marshall JTM45 as well? I have had some experience with working on amps (re-tubeing, biasing, etc), but I would like to do some mods on my amp. Safety first. Thanks you in advance, Jack

as far as i know....attach one "gator" clip end to chassis, the other to pin1 of any pre-amp tube. turn on your power/stand by... like you are playing. Should be drained in 20 secs.

A swedish Amp-guru called Tommy Folkesson sai's that if the amp is healthy, then you can turn it on, play for a few minutes, and then just pull the chord ot of the wall outlet.

No, are you serious? Those voltages can kill. I could go through the process here but this is a good page on draining filter caps. studentweb.eku.edu/justin_holton/caps.htmlOr just Google it... You need a good meter a pair of insulated pliers a large ceramic resistor, and safety glasses.
