hi bainzy! (just thought i'd check out the site, see if i can learn anything!) erm, dream amp? plenty of gain but with great cleans too...gains like a hot rodded plexi kind of sound. Simple control panel, only a few knobs and buttons, simple and uncluttered. good reverb set built in, FX loop, two channels. Super responsive to guitars from volume, and really lets the individual tone of a guitar come through. White vinyl covering, gold or silver hardware, not sure...and: handles man, need more handles too! Oh, and british as well would be nice!

hey WIllo, weclome to the forum ;D sounds close to the amp I'm developing, although I probably could offer that precise spec as a mod! (especially the British bit )

Hmm, well plenty of gain but clear and punchy, no crappy fuzz. Lead that screams and can cut through like hot butter through a knife with strong clarity, can pick up harmonics very well and sound good with neat tricks. No gay fuzz either, unless i want to use a fuzz pedal. Nice clean sound would be nice, kinda like Dimebags tone on cemetary gates even though that was prob done on an acoustic. Some neat effects would be nice aswell, reverb, delay, flange but wouldnt over-use anything like that.

Hey, if we're talking a true Dream amp.........here we go:
100 el34 watts
3 channels channel 1: Fender clean w/vol., bass, mid & treb. knob channel 2: JTM 45 crunch w/ PPIMV & standard knobs channel 3: SL w/PPIMV, mini-toggles for cream & 4th gain stage, standard knobs,
and also a lead volume boost control (works on all 3 channels) that has it's own knob on the front panel......
A nice parellel/series efx loop, and........................
all front panel controls & efx loop switchable via MIDI board w/ 64 user patches (all vintage amp tones, all the time, plus access to all efx, with all as conveniently saveable & recallable as most multi-effects units).....
Now there's a dream (please, don't wake me)!!!!!
H&K's trying a bit of this with their Switchblade amp, but I'm sure it's not Fender clean/Marshall grind by a long shot. And word is their built-in effects aren't as configurable as most......
